Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Vedennius Inc. ("we," "us," or "MappaIQ") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the MappaIQ website and application ("the Service"). MappaIQ is operated by Vedennius Inc. from the State of Texas, United States, and is intended for business users in the United States.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information you provide — name, email address, and organization, managed through our authentication provider.
  • Content you upload — map pins, layers, uploaded files (such as spreadsheets), and the property/comp data they contain. This is stored on your behalf to provide the Service.
  • Payment information — processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card number; we receive only limited billing details and subscription status.
  • Usage and device information collected automatically — IP address, browser type, and basic activity needed to operate and secure the Service.
  • Approximate location — if you use the "locate me" feature on the map, your browser shares your device location to center the map. This is used momentarily in your browser and is not stored or sold by us.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (such as government IDs, health, or biometric data), and the Service is not directed to children under 18.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve MappaIQ, authenticate and secure your account, process payments, respond to support requests, and send you transactional messages (such as share invitations and important account notices). We do not use your information for third-party advertising.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following service providers ("processors") to operate MappaIQ. They process data only to provide their service to us:

  • Clerk — authentication and user management
  • Supabase — database and file storage
  • Anthropic — AI chat (Nila). Content you send to the assistant is transmitted to Anthropic's API to generate responses.
  • Mapbox — map rendering and geocoding
  • Google Maps Platform — address geocoding and place search
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Vercel — hosting and infrastructure

Each provider maintains its own privacy policy governing the data it processes.

4. We Do Not Sell or Share Your Data for Advertising

We do not sell your personal information or your map data, and we do not share it for targeted (cross-context behavioral) advertising or use it for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We do not sell sensitive personal data or biometric data. Because we do not engage in these activities, there is nothing for you to opt out of in these categories — but you may still exercise the rights described in Section 8.

5. Data Sharing

Your map layers and data are private by default. They are shared only when you explicitly generate a share link or invite a collaborator. We otherwise disclose data only to the service providers needed to operate the Service (Section 3) or where required by law, legal process, or to protect rights and safety.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Upon deletion, your map data is removed from our systems within 30 days, except where limited retention is required by law or to resolve disputes.

7. Security & Breach Notification

We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted connections (TLS), row-level and application-level access controls scoped to your organization, and hashed credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users and applicable authorities as required by Texas law (Texas Business & Commerce Code Ch. 521) and other applicable laws.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access — confirm whether we process your data and obtain a copy.
  • Correction — correct inaccurate personal data.
  • Deletion — request that we delete your personal data.
  • Portability — obtain a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Opt out — of any sale of personal data, targeted advertising, or profiling (note: as stated in Section 4, we do not engage in these).
  • Non-discrimination — we will not deny service or charge you differently for exercising these rights.

You can access, update, or delete much of your information directly in your account Settings. To make any other request, email us at privacy@vedennius.com. We will respond within 45 days as required by the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), and may extend once by an additional 45 days where reasonably necessary. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision; if an appeal is denied, Texas residents may contact the Texas Attorney General at texasattorneygeneral.gov. California residents have comparable rights under the CCPA/CPRA.

9. Cookies & Do Not Track

We use only essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences. We do not use advertising, cross-site tracking, or third-party analytics cookies. Because we do not track you across other websites or serve targeted ads, browser "Do Not Track" (DNT) and Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals do not change what we collect — there is no cross-site tracking to disable. We honor applicable opt-out preference signals to the extent they apply to activities we perform.

10. Data Location

Your data is processed and stored in the United States by our service providers. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you consent to processing your information in the United States.

11. Children's Privacy

MappaIQ is a business tool intended for users 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice and update the date above. Continued use of MappaIQ after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

13. Contact
